Prior to establishing the National Reverse Mortgage Training Institute™, Stephen Kinney was one of the pioneers in the reverse mortgage industry. An expert in the field, he created, trained, and led a nationwide team of reverse mortgage specialists for one of the fastest growing reverse mortgage company's in the country.
In 2006 Mr.Kinney put his more than 25 years of experience to work by starting Stephen Kinney Associates, Inc. a consulting company specializing in the mortgage industry.
"As consultants to some largest originators, investors, and financial intermediaries we saw a real need for a quality training program that covered all aspects of the reverse mortgage process, from product knowledge, to marketing and sales, to customer interaction and acquisition."
Our goal, quite simply, was to develop the finest reverse mortgage training program in the industry and provide a certification program for mortgage, insurance, and financial professionals, seeking to assure their clients that they subscribe to a code of ethics and have the knowldege and skills to be considered a true specialist in reverse mortgage finance.

The National Reverse Mortgage Training Institute™ (NRMTI™) was created with the goal of offering training, education, and certification to anyone who wanted to become a certified expert in the field of reverse mortgages.
Consumers who see the designation CRMC™ or Cetified Reverse Mortgage Consultant™ after their advisors name can now be assured that they are dealing with a professional who has competed a course of study and certification process and subscribes to a code of ethics that assures them they are dealing with an expert in the field.
